One of the entrepreneurs who is engaged in mushroom cultivation is Arif Sugandi, a resident of Putatlor Village, Gondanglegi District, Malang Regency. From the results of the cultivation, he was able to reap a hefty profit. Arif has been pursuing oyster mushroom cultivation since 2010. He learned the ways of cultivating oyster mushrooms on his own, as well as through discussions with actors who had already started. "While practicing myself at home, I found the right pattern and understood the ideal ways to pursue this oyster mushroom cultivation," he said.
In general, there are no significant obstacles in cultivating oyster mushrooms. It just takes consistency, patience, and patience. "It doesn't need fertilizer like other agriculture. What's important is just paying attention to the temperature and humidity levels of the room where the oyster mushroom baglog is placed," he said. As for the pests themselves, Sugandi said the oyster mushroom pests are insects. Then, to overcome this, he worked around it by covering every gap in the room with paranet nets. Meanwhile, Sugandi's oyster mushroom cultivation is still a side income. Oyster mushroom cultivation can be the main source of income if you have at least 15,000 bag logs. "By calculating the production of at least 5,000 bag logs per day," he concluded.
