West Java Contributes to the Largest National Exports in 2022, Candidate for IKN Number 2

West Java is the province that contributes the largest national exports in 2022, followed by East Kalimantan as a candidate for the State Capital (IKN) in position number 2. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) noted that based on the province of origin of goods, Indonesia's largest exports in January-December 2022 came from West Java which reached USD 38.59 billion. Reporting from dataindonesia.id, Monday (23/1/2023) the value of this contribution is equivalent to 13.22% of Indonesia's total export value which reached USD 291.98 billion last year. The position was followed by East Kalimantan which contributed to national exports of USD 36.46 billion or 12.49% of the total export value. Then, East Java's contribution to national exports was recorded at 8.48% or USD 24.75 billion. In fourth place is Riau, which recorded exports of USD 22.61 billion in 2022. Then Central Sulawesi and the Riau Islands each recorded an export value of USD 19.02 billion and USD 18.30 billion.


Furthermore, there is South Kalimantan, which recorded an export value of USD 16.22 billion. The export value originating from Banten was recorded at USD 14.09 billion. Meanwhile, Gorontalo was recorded as the province that contributed the least to national exports, namely USD 52 million. Above it are East Nusa Tenggara and Maluku, each of which has an export value of USD 66.9 million and USD 144.7 million. Meanwhile, Indonesia's export value is USD 291.98 billion throughout 2022. This number has increased by 26.07 percent compared to the previous year which was USD 231.61 billion. In detail, the value of non-oil and gas exports was recorded at USD 275.96 billion last year. The number has increased by 25.80% compared to 2021 which amounted to USD 219.36 billion. Meanwhile, oil and gas exports amounted to USD16.02 billion in 2022. This number also increased by 30.82% compared to 2021 which amounted to USD 12.25 billion. BPS also noted that China is the country's largest non-oil and gas export destination, namely USD 63.55 billion. This amount is equivalent to 23.03 percent of total non-oil and gas exports throughout 2022. The United States is in second place with non-oil and gas exports of USD 28.2 billion. Meanwhile, Indonesia's non-oil and gas exports to India were recorded at USD 23.3 billion
