"The UMKM products in Lampung are good, so we can develop them. Coffee, handicraft bananas can all expand their market," said the Minister of Trade (Mendag) Zulkifli Hasan during a dialogue with MSMEs, in Bandarlampung, Saturday. He said the Ministry of Trade would facilitate and encourage MSMEs in Lampung to enter the export market. For example, Shamiya's frozen fried bananas can be brought to Jeddah as consumption for our Umrah or Hajj pilgrims, which are indeed a very potential market.

He explained that to facilitate the expansion of the Lampung MSME product market to enter the export market, his party would facilitate a meeting with the Indonesia Trade Promotion Center (ITPC). "Later we will meet with the ITPC to expand exports, but before that an export training will be held so that MSMEs can make products with good quality and attractive packaging," he said. He said that apart from meeting with the Trade Attache to support the expansion of the MSME market, cooperation would also be carried out with modern retailers and marketplaces. "Later, there will also be meetings with modern retailers and marketplaces to expand product marketing. What is certain is that retailers must be able to accept MSME products too, and online marketing can further expand MSME products," he added.
