Lampung Fishery Exports in 2022 Reach IDR 2.63 Trillion

The Fish Quarantine Agency for Quality Control and Safety of Fishery Products (BKIPM) of Lampung Province noted that the export value of fisheries in the local area in 2022 reached IDR 2.63 trillion. The exported fishery products range from shrimp, crab, crab, squid, frozen fish, seaweed to live grouper with a total of 20,525,483 kilograms and an export frequency of 1,586 times. The most exported commodity was shrimp with a total of 12,111,226 kilograms with a value of IDR 1.68 trillion, followed by crabs and crabs with a total of 1,019,608 kilograms with a value of IDR 418.02 billion. Then 815,765 kilograms of squid with a value of IDR 58.81 billion, 5,321,428 kilograms of frozen fish with a value of IDR 455.73 billion, 50,140 kilograms of frozen snails with a value of IDR 4.3 billion. This was followed by 1,207,316 kilograms of dried seaweed with a value of IDR 8.87 billion and finally 40,000 live groupers with a value of IDR 2.22 billion.


Head of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service for Lampung Province, Liza Derni explained, there are several countries that accept Lampung fisheries product exports. Like the United States with shrimp, crab, squid and live fish commodities. "Then there is Japan which accepts exports of frozen shrimp and seaweed commodities. Then there are China, Canada, the Netherlands, Hong Kong, Thailand, Italy, Germany, Vietnam, Singapore, France, Australia and there is Timor Leste to Taiwan," Liza said when questioned, Sunday (8/1/2023). Liza explained, Lampung fishery exports continued to increase. Where in 2020 it was 17,487 tons with a value of IDR 2.3 trillion and in 2021 it was 18,482 tons with a value of IDR 2.6 trillion. assistance for production facilities and assistance for fishing boats provided directly by the central government," he explained. According to him, in order to improve the welfare of the fishermen, his party also continues to encourage Lampung fisheries to be sold in processed form by providing guidance to MSME actors. Both in terms of infrastructure and raw material quality," concluded Liza.
