Marking the end of production activities in 2022, PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (PKT) held a production year closing event at Gudang Baging 1, Dept. Factory Operation 6, Bontang, East Kalimantan. The final packaging of fertilizer at the end of 2022 production will support PKT's readiness to maintain national food security, and will be distributed in 2023. This is supported by the steps taken by the company to increase production efficiency and effectiveness in providing a positive impact on the environment and society. This activity was attended by the Board of Commissioners and Board of Directors of PKT by holding a demonstration of packing fertilizer using a palletizer and signing the sacks for production at the end of 2022.
PKT is ready to guarantee the availability of fertilizer stocks in 2023 to maintain food security in Indonesia. PKT has also adjusted production so that the distribution of fertilizers can run smoothly with the support of qualified technology and human resources. In his remarks, PKT President Director Rahmad Pribadi revealed, last December 7, PKT entered its 45th year and PKT aspires to become the largest urea producer in Asia Pacific. "This goal is in sight, increasing productivity and profitability will be our focus. We have closed this year with good achievements, and this is the result of the hard work of PKT employees and the extended family," he said. Rahmad said, PKT continues to ensure that it grows bigger, accompanied by efforts to improve performance, guided by sustainable business processes. Concrete steps are taken to improve business processes, preserving them in order for this strategy to run well and smoothly, all PKT employees are expected to have competence that can compete globally," concluded Rahmad.
