The Ministry of Health or the Ministry of Health will not require polymerase chain reaction or PCR test results and antigen rapid tests as a condition for travel or entry to an event. This is a consequence of the repeal of the Enforcement of Restrictions on Community Activities or PPKM policy by President Joko Widodo, today (30/12). The Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin hopes that the public will make the Covid-19 inspection activity a personal awareness. Meanwhile, the government will arrange for the Antigen rapid-test to be available in all pharmacies and can be used independently. "We hope this will become public awareness. If you feel sick, do the test yourself and the test is available. If it turns out to be positive and you know it's a contagious disease, you should self-isolate without being forced by the government," said Budi at the State Palace, Friday (30/12). Budi said each rapid-test tool will be equipped with a QR Code. As a result, the public can submit the results of the Antigen rapid test independently to PeduliLindungi.
If it proves positive, Budi said the color of the Protect Protect status will not turn black if it reports independently. Meanwhile, Peduli Protect belonging to people who are positive for Covid-19 will provide reminders to carry out independent isolation and be disciplined in wearing masks. Budi stressed that the Antigen rapid-test business would still exist, but was limited to the test kit manufacturers. According to him, the Antigen rapid-test service business which is currently spreading will be forced to change its business. "The Antigen testing business will still exist, but it will be more independent. The Antigen testing service business will disappear, but the old business will return.
