The remaining 70 percent is absorbed by the local market, including for the fish canning industry which will also be exported later, he said. Ady explained that the main exports of fishery production were to the European Union, Germany, England and France, the largest to the United States in the form of frozen tuna for sandwiches.
Furthermore, it is also exported to Australia whose characteristics are the same as the United States, as well as fresh tuna for the destination country of Japan. The Bitung Ocean Fishing Port noted that the largest exports were to Australia, namely 886,781.89 kilograms, the United States (779,955.90 kilograms), France (402,745 kilograms), the Netherlands (329,852.91 kilograms), Germany (164,177.53 kilograms), the United Kingdom.
