Head of the Fish Quarantine Agency, Quality Control and Safety of Fishery Products (BKIPM), Pamuji Lestari, said the border is a door that can facilitate export of fishery products. "Just like at the border in Sebatik, we are entrusted with continuing to strengthen the quality assurance side," said the figure who is familiarly called Tari after observing the Sebatik border, Monday (12/12/2022). During October 2022, 28,770 kg of fishery commodities were sent from Sebatik to Tawau, Malaysia. This number increased to 201,314 kg in November 2022."Of course this is an extraordinary increase, therefore we ask that it be maintained," he said. For information, Tari witnessed the loading of fishery products to be exported to Tawau, Malaysia. In fact, Tari also handed over HACCP certificates to 3 original Sebatik fish processing units (UPI) that had met the standards for carrying out fishery export activities. "Thank you for the extraordinary work of all colleagues who continue to be enthusiastic and work together and synergize with related institutions," he concluded.Previously, the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono asked his staff to maximize the existence of technical implementation units (UPT) spread across various regions in Indonesia.
