The Sukabumi Regency Government (Pemkab) facilitates young people in Sukabumi Regency, West Java, to become business actors or entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector in an effort to revive the community's economy. "The Sukabumi Regency Government always supports anyone who wants to become an entrepreneur, especially young people, especially in facilitating creativity for work and entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector," said Sukabumi Deputy Regent Iyos Somantri in Sukabumi, Monday. According to Iyos, one of the programs that supports the creation of young entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector is Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Support Services (YESS) in accordance with the vision and mission of Sukabumi Regency. The YESS program is to increase agribusiness productivity through sustainable action and is a very good step because in Sukabumi Regency itself there are tens of thousands of millennial farmers. Its existence, according to him, is considered to be able to help the development of agriculture, including in Sukabumi.
Moreover, as is well known, Sukabumi is the second largest district in Java and Bali. However, his party wants young people to continue to be creative and innovate in the agricultural sector to participate in increasing food production, especially food security. "The agricultural potential in Sukabumi Regency is huge, very suitable for the development of the world of agribusiness. We are optimistic, amidst the threat of a global recession, if the agricultural sector is strong then we can go through it," he said. Iyos said the Sukabumi Regency Government hoped that the people would have a spirit of enthusiasm and be proud to be farmers. In addition, to support young people to become entrepreneurs, his party also cooperates with a number of educational and research institutions to develop agricultural technology.
