PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) again recorded a positive consolidated performance in quarter III-2022 (July-September). ASDP posted revenue of IDR 1.16 trillion, and recorded a net profit of IDR 155.18 billion. Corporate Secretary of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Shelvy Arifin revealed that ASDP continues to maintain a positive performance amidst world economic conditions which have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Not to mention the war between Russia and Ukraine which had a negative impact on world oil prices, the energy crisis and economic recession in several major world countries. "ASDP strives to carry out business operations effectively and efficiently and continues to support national logistics services. Crisis conditions certainly have an impact on exchange rates and inflation which continue to complicate business situations in various industries, including the ferry business, whose main cost component is diesel fuel," said Shelvy in a written statement, Wednesday (30/11/2022).
In quarter III-2022, ASDP managed to record a corporate net profit of IDR 155.18 billion or experienced a 161% growth from Q3-III profit in 2021 of IDR 59.56 billion. In addition, this net profit achievement reached 176% of the target of IDR 88.41 billion in the third quarter of 2022. The achievement of ASDP's positive performance was contributed by the performance of crossings, both pioneering and commercial production (combined), including passenger production which reached 1.64 million people, an increase of 77% compared to the realization in the same period last year of 928 thousand people. Then, 2 and 3 wheeled vehicles totaled 686 thousand units, up 44% from 476 thousand units, 4 wheeled vehicles or more reached 844 thousand units, up 19% compared to the realization in the same period last year of 707 thousand units. Meanwhile, goods only reached 176 thousand tons, a decrease of 44% when compared to the realization in 2021 of 313 thousand tons. ASDP also recorded a positive growth trend in financial performance from year to year. In 2016, ASDP's net profit was recorded at Rp. 233.413 billion, then increased to Rp. 269.263 billion in 2017, then decreased slightly to Rp. 255.633 billion in 2018. ASDP's profits jumped again to Rp. 318.104 billion in 2019. Then it fell due to the pandemic to Rp. 181.147 billion in 2020, and shot up to IDR 326.301 billion in 2021. Revenue performance also grew significantly in the 2016-2021 period. In 2016, ASDP revenue was recorded at IDR 2.449 trillion, jumped to IDR 2.728 trillion in 2017, increased again to IDR 2.919 trillion in 2018, shot up to IDR 3.307 trillion in 2019, then IDR 3.195 trillion in 2020, and jumped again to IDR 3.550 trillion in 2021.
