The government continues to make improvements to the port logistics ecosystem in accordance with Presidential Instruction Number 5 of 2020 concerning Structuring the National Logistics Ecosystem to increase exports and provide convenience for the business world. Expert Staff for Connectivity Management, Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment Sahat Panggabean in a written statement in Jakarta, Tuesday (22/11/2022), stated that reforming the national logistics ecosystem at ports had a good impact on the economy and accelerated national economic recovery. "Export figures can continue to climb if the ecosystem at the port is good. For this reason, the CIQP (Custom, Immigration, Quarantine and Port) agency at the port must work together," said Sahat when releasing exports of agricultural production from Riau Province at the Dumai Port of Riau, Monday (21 /11/2022). The export valued at IDR 3.7 trillion and was sent to 35 countries.
According to Sahat, through Presidential Instruction Number 5 of 2020 concerning Structuring the National Logistics Ecosystem, the government continues to improve infrastructure, build systems and digitize ports. In the early stages, this measure was implemented in 14 selected ports. Head of the Agricultural Quarantine Agency (Barantan) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Bambang explained, the exports released this time were the result of the collaboration of various parties from upstream to downstream. "The key to export success is the commitment of regional leaders. Congratulations to the Mayor of Dumai and the Dumai agribusiness community for successfully accelerating exports," he said. This achievement, explained Bambang, is in line with the strategic assignment given by the Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo to Barantan in accelerating the increase in exports, namely the Threefold Export Movement or Gratieks. The Mayor of Dumai Paisal gave his high appreciation for escorting agricultural development by various parties in his area. He claimed, Dumai is a strategic location for investment.
