Head of Public Relations and Customs Counseling Sub-Directorate Hatta Wardhana said that Indonesia's marine potential is very rich and can be utilized to help move the wheels of the economy for business actors, one of which is through exports. Therefore, in carrying out its role in the field of industrial assistance and trade facilitator, Customs and Excise carries out supervision of export activities carried out by several companies in the Ambon and Makassar regions. PT Rajawali Laut Timur exports fishery products with an estimated foreign exchange of USD 296,950.5. The 17 tons of fishery products consist of grouper, parrot and rajabau fish and will be marketed directly to Hong Kong. Two other companies that also receive assistance for export activities from Ambon Customs are Harta Samudera and PT ASTB. Both of them export fishery products in the form of frozen yellow fin tuna. "Harta Samudera exported two containers and PT ASTB exported one container and will be sent to Vietnam via Surabaya," said Hatta through a statement received, Monday (21/11).
The foreign exchange obtained from the exports of the two companies is estimated at USD 714,099.18. Meanwhile, Makassar Customs and Excise also provided similar assistance to CV Anugerah Global Agriculture, which was the first to export its product in the form of seaweed to Hong Kong. "The stretching of exports in various regions in Indonesia indicates the great potential of business actors," said Hatta. He emphasized that Customs and Excise will consistently provide information and assistance in terms of procedures for business actors who will export. "This is nothing but aimed at advancing the Indonesian economy in the future," concluded Hatta.
