Indonesia exports steel to neighboring Malaysia. PT Krakatau Steel (Persero) Tbk's steel exports are carried out by PT Krakatau Jasa Logistik (KJL) which is a subsidiary of PT Krakatau Bandar Samudera (KBS) or Krakatau International Port Group (KIP Group). "We hope that we can continue to improve this performance and currently Krakatau Steel (KS) has entrusted its steel export services to KJL. This is the first time KS has used KJL's export services to Malaysia, and it has been exported to Malaysia," said Director of Operations Krakatau Bandar. Ocean, Cahyo Antarikso, in his statement, Sunday (11/13/2022).
KJL releases its first shipment for export of Krakatau Steel products to Malaysia at the Krakatau Port at BandarSamudera (Krakatau International Port) in Cilegon, Banten. "If you look at the data in KS, this export figure is the highest annual achievement as long as KS was established. Through KJL, KIP Group will also support the increase in national exports with integrated logistics services," said Cahyo. Cahyo also added that in the future KJL will improve KS export services not only to Malaysia, but also to help export steel to KS customers in other countries. "To maximize service to KJL customers, we also sent a team to Malaysia to meet KS customers in Malaysia, exploring integrated logistics services. This is also one of our efforts to maximize the increase in national exports," said Cahyo. Last week PT Krakatau Jasa Logistik was awarded 'As The Fast Emerging Integrated Logistics Service Company of the Year' at the 2022 Bisnis Indonesia Logistics Awards. In addition, the (CEO) of Krakatau International Port Group (KIP Group), Akbar Djohan, also received an award in one of the same award categories, namely 'The Most Innovative CEO in Creating an International Industrial Non-Container Hub Port in Indonesia'.
