Third Quarter Economy Absorbs 4.25 Million Manpower, Warehousing Grows Fast

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) said that Indonesia's economic growth reached 5.72 percent in the third quarter of 2022 year on year or yoy. Meanwhile, Indonesia's economic growth in the third quarter compared to the second quarter of 2022 or quarter to quarter (q to q) grew 1.81%. "Basically, from Q1 to Q3 2022 compared to the same period as 2021, the Indonesian economy grew 5.4%," said Head of BPS, Margo Yuwono, in a virtual press conference, Monday, November 7, 2022. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto explained that Indonesia's economic growth reached 5.72 percent in the third quarter of 2022 year on year (YoY). He considered the growth to be quite impressive in the midst of a downward-connected world economy. He said Indonesian households also grew quite 5.39 percent in the third quarter of 2022 year on year (YoY). In addition, it is also supported by investment or Gross Fixed Capital Formation (PMTB) of 4.96%. "From the warehousing transportation sector, it grew 25.81 percent due to digitalization, this is increasing," he said at a virtual press conference on Monday, November 7, 2022.
