Exports of various non-oil and gas commodities loaded through the Port of Samarinda, East Kalimantan (Kaltim), for the period January - September 2022 reached USD 7.18 billion or equivalent to IDR 107.7 trillion. "This non-oil and gas commodity exported from the Samarinda Port contributes 26.98% of East Kalimantan's total non-oil and gas exports worth USD 26.62 billion," said the Head of the Central Kalimantan Statistics Agency, Yusniar Juliana in Samarinda. This amount of non-oil and gas export commodities loaded through the Samarinda Port has increased by 78.22%, compared to the January - September 2021 period which was recorded at USD 4.03 billion. The port with the second largest loading of non-oil and gas goods is the Port of Balikpapan with a value of USD 5.8 billion, or with a contribution of 21.78% to the total non-oil and gas exports of East Kalimantan for the period January - September 2022.
The loading of this commodity has increased by 65.50%, compared to January - September of the previous year which was recorded at USD 3.54 billion. Being in the third highest position is Tanjung Bara Port in East Kutai Regency with a value of USD 4.71 billion, or with a contribution of 17.70% to the total non-oil and gas exports of East Kalimantan for the period January - September 2022. Non-oil and gas export commodities loaded from Tanjung Bara Port experienced a an increase of 79.45%, when compared to that published in the period January - September 2021 with a value of USD 2.62 billion. "Of all the ports in regencies/cities in East Kalimantan that contain non-oil and gas commodities for export, there are five ports with high values, namely in Samarinda, Balikpapan, East Kutai, Bontang, and Berau Regency with a total of these five ports worth USD 24.42 billion. ," he said. Meanwhile, the total of all ports in the January - September 2022 period reached 26.62 billion dollars, an increase of 66.49 percent compared to the same period the previous year which was 15.99 billion US dollars.
