The Governor of East Java (East Java), Khofifah Indar Parawansa, released the export of various products worth 1.46 million US dollars to four destination countries, namely Japan, the Netherlands, Chile and South Korea. "Through this export release, it is hoped that it will be able to provide enthusiasm for business actors in East Java," said Khofifah when releasing exports in Surabaya, Tuesday. Exports consisted of PT Cheil Jedang Indonesia with 197 tons of export products, L-Tryptophan and Sekar Laut with 22,542 kg of Finna crackers and uleg chili sauce for the Netherlands. In addition, PT Santos Jaya Abadi with 4,534.50 kg of Kapal Api coffee was sent to South Korea, PT. Indocipri, Gresik, with 14,000 kg of Penta Resin 100 for Japan. Exports also came from PT Insera Sena with Polygon bicycles destined for Japan and Chile, amounting to 1,998 tons and 4,240 tons, respectively.
Governor Khofifah said that the export value of East Java in the January-September 2022 period reached 18.08 billion US dollars, an increase of 8.45 percent year on year (y-on-y) compared to the same period in the previous year. Meanwhile, East Java's non-oil and gas exports from January 2022 to September 2022 grew positively by 11.17% (y-on-y) with an export value of USD 17.19 billion. According to him, every month, non-oil and gas exports continue to contribute significantly to his total export achievements. For example, in September 2022, 93.32% of East Java's total exports were supported by non-oil and gas exports. For this achievement, Governor Khofifah emphasized that the potential for export trade abroad from East Java must continue to be encouraged from various sectors and commodities. "Through this kind of export release, we can appreciate and inspire business collaborations that can expand business networks for the perpetrators," he said.
