Lebak Regent Iti Octavia Jayabaya said the realization of investment in Lebak Regency, Banten, in the third quarter of 2022 reached IDR 2 trillion, which includes Domestic Investment (PMDN) and Foreign Investment (PMA). "We appreciate the investment value of that amount to exceed the target set by the regional government of IDR 245 billion," said Lebak Regent Octavia Jayabaya in Lebak, Wednesday (26/10/2022). She ensured that the Lebak Regency Government continues to boost the value of the investment because the presence of investors can grow the regional economy and support the absorption of new jobs for the community. In addition, she continued, investment activities will be optimized through promotions and service improvements, especially now that the licensing process is so easy by using internet technology media online. It is also ensured that service improvements continue to be carried out so that investors from outside the region to foreign countries can access the licensing process easily and without being long-winded. She is optimistic that investment activities in this area will grow and become the target of investors if the Serang-Panimbang toll road is fully operational in 2024. The local government provides 3000 hectares of land for an integrated industrial area (KIP) in Cileles District to grow a new economy and absorb thousands of workers for the community. "We believe that investment in this area tends to increase so that it can boost economic income which ultimately leads to community welfare," she said.
With the realization of investment reaching IDR 2 trillion in the third quarter, the investment value in Lebak Regency is now ranked fourth in Banten Province. The largest investment value in Banten in the same period was in Cilegon City at IDR 8.2 trillion, Tangerang Regency at IDR 5.4 trillion, and Tangerang City at IDR 4.8 trillion. "Most of the investments are housing developers, industrial estates, and offices," she said.
