Through TEI, Local Industry Expands to Middle East and African Markets

If in China the exhibition was attended by 1 million people, now we have been successful but it has not lived up to our expectations," said the Minister of Trade. The details of these transactions include goods and services MoU with a value of USD 1.77 billion consisting of trade in goods, services of USD 843.2 million, daily transactions of USD 850 million, business matching of USD 200.5 million. In addition, investment transactions were recorded at USD 111.5 million, including USD 100 million from the Netherlands for investment in shore to ship power supply, USD 10 million from South Korea for investment in agriculture and livestock, and USD 1.5 million from Belgium for furniture. The 10 largest countries that carried out trade transactions during this exhibition were, first, India USD 871.1 million; Second, Japan USD 568.9 Million; Third, the United States USD 197.3 million; Fourth, Malaysia USD 181 Million; Fifth, Egypt USD 167.5 million. "Vietnam USD 121.9 million, Philippines USD 120 million, Saudi Arabia USD 124 million, and so on," added the Minister of Trade. Meanwhile, the 10 export products and services that recorded the largest transactions at this time were still dominated by palm oil, paper and paper products, agricultural products, coal, processed food, wood products, chemical products, furniture, electronics and electrical equipment, spices. For information, TEI 2022 which has been officially opened by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition Bumi Serpong Damai (ICE BSD), Tangerang, Banten, on (19/10/2022). TEI will be held from 19-23 October 2022 and will be a venue for business meetings to increase domestic exports.
