The Regent of Purwakarta Anne Ratna Mustika hopes that the creative economy sector development program launched by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy can become a locomotive for economic growth in Purwakarta Regency, West Java. “Alhamdulillah, the community, especially MSME players, are very enthusiastic about welcoming this program in Purwakarta,” she said, in Purwakarta, Sunday (10/23/2022). She conveyed that the KaTa Kreatif Workshop program is a program for developing the creative economy sector so that business actors can adapt technology, market innovation, and collaborate in sales. The program is the flagship program of the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf). Among the objectives of the program are the government’s efforts to develop the potential of the creative economy in districts/cities that align with the principles of policies that are right on target, on time, on benefits, and understanding the community's needs.
Meanwhile, during his visit to Purwakarta, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy Sandiaga Uno said that the creative economy in Purwakarta has enormous potential to be developed. In Purwakarta, Sandiaga attended a training event on Mangosteen Fruit Processing and Digital Marketing Strategy in increasing the creativity of MSMEs held by Gemawira Purwakarta at the Creative Center Building, Purwakarta, West Java. The training also introduced the importance of penetration of MSME actors in optimizing digital platforms. According to Sandiaga, currently, MSMEs have also been facilitated with the E-Catalog and E-Commerce platforms so that won’t interfere with the activities of mothers at home. “Here we provide training on digital marketing, how to sell in the digitalization era through a packaging approach as well as patterns of creative content that are in demand by the market. It is facilitated by product concepts that are included in the E-Catalog, mother’s products can be on board into the E-Commerce platform so don’t worry you don’t have to be checked every day, the products are safe,” said Sandiaga.
However, limited digitalization and financing capabilities are a challenge for business people. That way, Sandiaga provides a solution by offering the Indonesian Creation Appreciation (AKI) program in Purwakarta. Siti Masitoh, one of the participants, revealed that with the training she became more open to the world of digital marketing and product collaboration. She admits that if the training is held again, she will follow it to improve his products so that they are better known to the wider community.
