To Turkey, Banjarnegara Exports 45 Tons of Mocaf

The acting regent of Banjarnegara Tri Harso Widirahmanto released the export of 45 tons of mocaf flour (modified cassava flour) made by Rumah Mocaf Banjarnegara, Central Java, with the destination country of Turkey. "The mocaf export release activity is a form of government support in the development and progress of MSME products in Banjarnegara Regency," said Tri Harso when giving a speech at the export release at the Dipayuda Hall page, Banjarnegara, Monday. MSMEs in Banjarnegara can be more developed and also more famous not only in Indonesia but also abroad. Meanwhile, the owner of the Mocaf Banjarnegara House, Riza Azyumarridha Azra, said the activity was the first export to Turkey.

According to him, Rumah Mocaf Banjarnegara has been exporting since 2020 and the last shipment was 20 tons to Oman. Especially for the first export to Turkey, he said, it started with an international food exhibition in Istanbul, Turkey. "The export of mocaf worth more than Rp. 2 billion will go through the Port of Tanjung Perak to Turkey," he said. Furthermore, Riza admitted that currently the demand for cassava flour products is increasing worldwide. Therefore, he hopes that in the future there will be more MSME actors who produce mocaf flour and more people will consume it. "To meet the need or demand, we have cassava absorption that we get from around Banjarnegara, especially in Punggelan District. We process the cassava into mocaf flour in the hope that this cassava can be of higher selling value," he said.
