South Sulawesi Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman officially released the export of South Sulawesi's flagship products at the South Sulawesi Governor's Office, Jl Jenderal Sudirman, Makassar City, Sunday (16/10/2022). Head of the South Sulawesi Trade Office, Ashari Fakhsirie Radjamilo, said the exports were aimed at 10 different countries. Starting from China, Singapore, America, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Thailand, Australia, Russia, Malaysia, to Germany. He said the export preparation was only carried out in three days. The commodities sent were candlenut, peeled cashew, cacao, peeled cashew, tempura prawns, fresh fish, and seaweed flour. The total commodity of South Sulawesi's mainstay is Rp. 66.43 billion. "In a period of three days together with the chairman of the Indonesian Export Entrepreneurs Association (GPEI) it was summarized that last night it was around 378.50 tons with a value of 4.55 US dollars, equivalent to Rp. 66.43 billion," he said.
This export is the first step of the Department of Commerce (Disdag) of South Sulawesi in utilizing the wealth of South Sulawesi's natural resources. "It will definitely continue, South Sulawesi never stops exporting, we are grateful to Allah SWT for being given more nature than other provinces," he said. In this release, six commodity trucks were officially released. The truck transporting the export product moves from the location of the office to the place of delivery. South Sulawesi Governor Andi Sudirman said the release of the export of South Sulawesi's mainstay halal products was a testament to the strength of the variety of commodities in South Sulawesi. He also appreciated the efforts of the Disdag of South Sulawesi which was able to generate Rp. 66.43 billion. He hopes that the encouragement of commodity exports can ignite the people's economy.
