Urban agricultural innovations in the City of Yogya highlight alleys or vegetable villages. However, to develop it requires a touch of creativity in order to be able to provide benefits from the economic aspect. Head of the Food Security Division of the Yogya City Agriculture and Food Service, Imam Nurwahid, explained that the challenge of urban agriculture is on very limited land. "Usually urban agriculture uses yards in front of houses and even residential alleys. optimal," he explained, Sunday (9/10). According to him, the creative economy in the development of the vegetable village will allow managers to continue to innovate. So that the vegetable village will continue to run in a sustainable manner and provide a more optimal impact on the community from various sides. Not only in terms of fulfilling food security but can also improve the community's economy.

The implementation of the policy 'from Yogya to Yogya', added Imam, can also be a support for maintaining the sustainability of the management of the vegetable village. "Every vegetable village or farmer group certainly has superior products. Imam also gave an example that a number of farmer groups are capable of producing planting media, even the local government has also tried to build a seed house even though it is simple. In addition, there are also farmer groups that can process organic waste and produce fertilizer. If each group can meet each other's needs from other groups, then the production produced by the vegetable village will be automatically absorbed. However, Imam also said that local government intervention is still needed to maintain continuity of activities in each vegetable village, especially those that become assisted by the local government. This is done by buying products produced by the vegetable village. Besides that, they can work together with culinary groups that are included in the Gandeng Gendong program. The culinary group buys ingredients from the vegetable village products. Thus, continued Imam, the manager of the vegetable village in Yogya City can become more excited for me maintain that the vegetable village they manage can run sustainably. Based on the results of the survey conducted, there are several marketing models for Kampung Vegetable products, namely donations or giving to posyandu and housewives around the Vegetable Village. Currently, the total number of vegetable villages in Yogya City is 115 villages. He said that not everything was running optimally due to various reasons, including the weather or the manager being busy with other activities.
