Government Incentives to Push the Electric Battery Industry

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) revealed a number of government supports in the development of the national battery industry. Starting from regulations to a number of fiscal facilities. Agus said that Indonesia has raw materials or stamps for electric vehicle batteries. There are six companies working on nickel in Indonesia with a total production of 240,000 tons per year. He said the government had issued a ban on nickel exports since 2020 to support the development of the upstream battery industry. For downstream, the government has prepared a number of tax incentives.
