The tourist village has passed the standard test of the jury team consisting of seven categories. Namely, visitor attractions (natural and artificial, arts and culture), souvenirs (culinary, fashion, and crafts), homestays, public toilets, digital and creative, cleanliness, health, safety, and environment sustainability (CHSE), and village institutions. . "We appreciate the Tobati Village Tourism Village which is included in the top 50 best tourist villages in 2022," he said. Speaking of history, he said, the naming of Kampung Tobati came from Tabati. The words Tab (sun) and Badic (rising/rising) and when combined the meanings of the two words mean that Tabadic means Sunrise.
Tobati tourist village is approximately 36 Kilometers or about 50 minutes when traveled by car from Sentani Airport, Jayapura Regency. In Tobati Village there is an area called the Timbul Tenggelam field. The unique thing is that the area will be covered by water at high tide and reappear when the water is low. Not far from there, there is Metu Debi Island which is a spiritual, historical, and natural tourist destination.
