Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo conducted a field survey of preparations for the export of chrysanthemum ornamental plants in Sukamanah Village, Megamendung District, Bogor Regency, yesterday. Next week, the plan is to export the chrysanthemums cultivated by the Swastika Jaya Farmers' Group under the Directorate General of Horticulture of the Ministry of Agriculture to Japan. The Swastika Jaya Farmers Group is the recipient of the Flori Village development program so that it gets an allocation of Green House assistance facilitation in 2022 covering an area of 1,024 m2. According to him, the chrysanthemum produced in Indonesia is a type of chrysanthemum from a tropical country that has advantages so that the export market is interested in high prices, namely in European countries and other countries.

That way, Indonesia's chrysanthemum export opportunities are very large considering that most of the chrysanthemums sold in the world market are from sub-tropical countries whose quality and interest is below that of tropical countries. Over the past three years, agricultural exports have increased by 38% with a value of USD 9 billion. Director General of Horticulture, Prihasto Setyanto reported that national chrysanthemum exports experienced a very rapid increase. In 2020 the export volume was 43.4 tons with a value of USD 732,724 and in 2021 the export volume of chrysanthemum increased to 131.3 tons with a value of USD 903,929. Kampung Flori, which is one part of the horticultural village development program, is the target of realizing the "legacy" of the Ministry of Agriculture in developing advanced, independent and modern agricultural areas by applying floriculture cultivation technology in the Green House.
