"SMEs are labor-intensive businesses, many people are involved. If you want to become a developed country, SMEs must be supported," said the Trade Minister in his statement in Jakarta, Wednesday. This is a form of commitment to support the Ministry of Trade for Indonesian SMEs. The Minister of Trade conveyed this during a discussion with SMEs in Kudus, Central Java, who was accompanied by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Trade Suhanto and PIT Director General of Domestic Trade Syailendra. Zulkifli said the Ministry of Trade had prepared a "toll road" so that SME products could enter the international market, especially the new market. Among other things, through trade agreements with non-traditional trading partner countries. "So that our SMEs can invade the international market, one of them is by opening potential new markets. For example the agreement with the United Arab Emirates to open the Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, and Eastern Europe markets," said the Trade Minister. The Minister of Trade also invited SMEs, especially Muslim clothing, to participate in international exhibitions. One of them is by participating in the Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week which will be held in conjunction with the 37th Indonesian Trade Expo in October 2022. "At this exhibition, buyers from all over the world will attend and the Ministry of Trade will provide a special booth for SMEs," added the Minister of Trade Zulkifli Hasan. There is also a coaching program for UK players that is prepared to enter digital marketing, considering that MSMEs must enter digital platforms in order to compete.
