The trade balance or export-import balance of Riau province in August 2022 experienced a surplus of USD 2.27 billion, which was triggered by a surplus in the non-oil and gas sector of USD 2.15 billion and the oil and gas sector of USD 110.37 million. Likewise, in terms of trade volume, in July 2022 the trade balance of Riau province experienced a surplus of 2.58 million tons. “This is drived by a surplus in the trade volume balance of the non-oil and gas sector of 2.42 tons and the oil and gas sector of 160 thousand tons,” said Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) Riau, Misfaruddin in Pekanbaru, Tuesday (20/9/2022). He explained that the trade balance of Riau province from January to July 2022 experienced a surplus of USD 13.24 billion, which was triggered by a surplus of the non-oil and gas sector of USD 12.20 billion and the oil and gas sector of USD 1.04 billion.
