Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono revealed that the indicative ceiling of the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) for marine and fisheries sector in 2023 reached USD 100 million. "The physical DAK policy in 2023 is aimed at supporting economic recovery and infrastructure development, as well as supporting food security, which includes DAK in the marine and fisheries sector," said Trenggono at a working meeting. with Commission IV of the DPR in Jakarta, Monday (12/9/2022). For additional information, the DAK for marine and fisheries sector in 2023 is grouped into two, namely for provinces and districts/cities.
The provincial DAK menu is intended for the construction or rehabilitation of fishing port facilities and infrastructure, seed units, supervision facilities and infrastructure, as well as the construction or rehabilitation of conservation areas. Meanwhile, district/city DAK is directed at the development or rehabilitation of hatchery units, providing facilities and infrastructure for the empowerment of small-scale fishing businesses, and facilities and infrastructure for the empowerment of small-scale fish cultivators. Minister Trenggono again said that in addition to discussing DAK in the marine and fisheries sector, the meeting also discussed the design of KKP activities in 2023. These included the implementation of quota-based quantified fishing, development of advanced fishing villages, development of a cold chain system, to strengthening supervision in the marine and fisheries sector.
