The Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas, Suharso Monoarfa, revealed that the number of investors in the National Capital City of the Archipelago (IKN Nusantara) is increasing, reaching more than 100 queues. Suharso explained, if the detailed plans for IKN development have been completed, investors will naturally be interested in investing, especially domestic investors who already understand the flow of investment in Indonesia. "Now those who are queuing for domestic, I think there are more than 100, there are many friends who play on the property or large, small, local ones. We have given the opportunity," he told reporters at the Representative Council (DPR) Building, Wednesday (24/8). He continued, IKN has also attracted many foreign investors. Even so, they need to wait for consideration from the government, for example in terms of business security. So that the government prioritizes domestic investors. "We will of course prioritize those entrepreneurs who are young and well-understood domestic and national entrepreneurs. After that, they will only come from abroad," said Suharso. Suharso continued, he could not reveal how many foreign investors had entered the IKN Nusantara project, because the government could not confirm the certainty of each investor. "What is clear is that there are a lot of fans from outside. Whether it's from the Emirates (Dubai), China, Japan, Europe, America. Even yesterday there were from Australia, from Malaysia, Singapore, it's all there," he said. Previously, President Jokowi said that the construction of the Nusantara IKN would cost at least IDR 466 trillion and would be completed in 15-20 years. Of this portion, 19-20% is taken from APBN funds and the rest can be through PPP schemes, PPPs, investors and other instruments outside the State Budget (APBN). The total budget for the development of IKN Nusantara using special APBN instruments for the development of the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) in 2022-2024 is IDR 43 trillion. Suharso explained that in 2023, the IKN budget allocation was included in the ceiling to related ministries/institutions, including the Ministry of PUPR, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Environment and Forestry (KLHK), to Ministry of Investment (BKPM), with a total of IDR 23.6 trillion. "This budget allocation is in accordance with the projections that we have drawn up, where we hope that 20% of the budget can be handled by the state budget and the rest is anticipated from the private sector, both domestically and abroad," said Suharso when met after the press conference on the financial memorandum and the 2023 state budget bill, Tuesday (16 /8).
