Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno opened the Sanur Village Festival which is said to be one of the 100 ranks of Kharisma Event Nusantara (KEN) from Denpasar, Bali. "One of the hard ones who worked hard to make our tourism more advanced was the Sanur Village Festival 2022 which successfully entered the Kharisma Event Nusantara (KEN) and this is a national and international scale event," said Sandiaga Uno in Denpasar, Thursday night. When opening the Sanur Village Festival or what is often called the 15th Sanfest on the Island of the Gods, Sandiaga said that KEN is a program from the ministry he oversees, aiming to take care of tourism and creative economy activities in Indonesia. "Ken is regional, national, and international, so international such as the G20 and MotoGP, but there are national events so this Sanfest is national, at the same level it can be international which will involve more tourist visits," said the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy. He said that the music event, which was wrapped in msME exhibitions and special food booths consisting of a total of 150 tenants, had a big impact, a very broad multiplier effect so that it would be developed in the future. "Sanur Village Festival 2022 is a promotion of Bali tourism and the creative economy with the spirit of the G20 recovering together recover stronger. We have data where the GDP contribution of the creative economy is IDR 4.8 trillion in 2020 and if we look at this music festival, it has a very big role," said Sandiaga.
The former Deputy Governor of Jakarta said that music festivals in addition to bringing in tourists also contributed TO GDP through culinary idr 455 trillion, crafts IDR 166 trillion, and music itself IDR 4.8 trillion, Sandiaga realized this as an extraordinary contribution. "Sanur's tourism and creative economy is full of potential for marine tourism, culinary, culture, crafts and I hope that the Sanur Village Festival 2022 will bring out local uniqueness and creativity," Sandiaga told the media. In Denpasar itself, there are three events that have successfully passed the curation of kharisma event nusantara, namely Sanur Village Festival, Denpasar Festival, and Bali Arts Party. Meanwhile, Bali has seven events in the KEN lineup, the other four are Bali Spirit Festival, Ubud Village Jazz Festival, Pemuteran Bay Festival, and Penglipuran Village Festival.
