The former Inter Milan president encouraged the growth of tourism potential there by providing one minibus unit. The assistance of one minibus unit is expected to be able to boost tourist interest in visiting Maspati Lawas Village. With this step, automatically the community's economy will also have a good impact.
"The Lawas Maspati village in Surabaya, East Java, now has its own tourist car. God willing, SOEs will continue to develop micro and ultramicro economies. One of them is through tourist villages which can create jobs for local residents," explained Erick Thohir. Erick Thohir did not stop at Kampung Lawas Maspati. The Banser Honorary Member continues to be committed to helping tourism potentials throughout the region for the purpose of improving the welfare of the community. Meanwhile, this assistance from Erick Thohir was welcomed with joy from the people in Maspati Lawas Village. The Chief Coordinator of Maspati Lawas Village, Sabar Suwastono, said that the assistance of a minibus unit from the Head of the Sharia Economic Community (MES) was very useful to boost tourism potential in the area. “Pak Erick Thohir has promised to commit that we will be given a car. Thank God we received it today," said the man who is familiarly called Cak Sabar.
