Bali Develops Industrial Sector Based on Local Advantages

Indonesia places industry as one of the main sectors in the economy that is able to create added value and jobs, especially as a mitigation measure for the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a concrete manifestation of the implementation of the Kerthi Bali Economic Roadmap: Towards a New Green, Resilient and Prosperous Bali, which was launched by the President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo in December 2021. In 2021, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sectors will contribute 15.71 percent of Bali's GRDP, while the manufacturing sector will contribute 6.7 percent. "With active participation through the central government, represented by the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas, Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, local, provincial and district governments, industry players, and associations at IDF this time, we can formulate real solutions to increase the contribution of processing, and Bali's economy will reach seven percent in 2045," added Amalia Adininggar.
