The Regent of Sinjai Andi Seto Asapa (ASA) continues to encourage economic growth every year through the fisheries sector. You do this by rolling the help of freshwater fish seeds. In 2022, the ASA Regent will again hand over the assistance of freshwater fish seeds to a number of cultivating groups in the sub-district. According to the ASA Regent, the provision of freshwater fish seed assistance is expected to encourage the production and productivity of cultivators so that economic growth can increase and create a more prosperous society. "We hope that this assistance can be utilized and managed properly so that it can encourage economic growth and improve the standard of living or the economy of the community in order to realize group independence in the future," said the ASA Regent, Saturday (7/5/2022).
The head of the Sinjai Fisheries Service, H Haris Achmad, confirmed that 41,000 freshwater fish seeds would be distributed to groups in four sub-districts. "What we will distribute this year is to groups of cultivators in the sub-districts of West Sinjai, Central Sinjai, Bulupoddo and Tellulimpoe," said Haris, who is also the former Head of the Goods and Services Division of the Sinjai Regional Secretariat. The freshwater fish seed assistance, said Haris, was sourced from the Sinjai Regency Regional Budget in 2022 which is the commitment of the ASA Regent so that this assistance will continue after the budgeting through the central government is removed. “So far, we have relied on DAK but it was deleted, so that it doesn't stop, the Regent suggested to budget it through our APBD. Alhamdulillah, we will distribute it soon," he explained. Apart from providing freshwater fish seeds, this year the ASA Regent will also hand over a number of fisheries and marine facilities and infrastructure to fishermen and cultivators in Sinjai Regency.
