Even the Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Teten Masduki believes that Bali can become a go global UMKM hub and bring in global buyers as a positive impact from the momentum of the G20 Summit series on the Island of the Gods. The G20 Summit is also the right momentum to strengthen the wellness industry in the country and introduce Indonesian local wellness products to the international world and global market. Wellness products from Bali are also ready to show off at the G20 Summit in November 2022. One of the icons of the Island of the Gods wellness products that will be displayed and exhibited is Balinese wine. "Balinese wine is included in the wellness product (to be shown at the G20 later)," said Teten.
Teten said that the G20 was used as a promotional event for MSME products. "This is an activation so that the Bali Collection in November is really ready for everything," he said. MSME products that will be exhibited at the G20 will be curated. "The products on display are superior products. Because we are targeting foreign markets, we display local brands that are ready to go global," he said. It is said, there are many local brands that are ready to go global from all provinces, especially from Bali itself. "We also foster friends in eastern Indonesia. Because they have to be displayed as well, they are involved especially in the raw materials. We hope that the Nusa Dua Market event can be even bigger and involve more MSMEs in Indonesia," said Teten. Nusa Dua market is a road to G20. This event will be held several times until November 2022 with the hope of being able to bring in other local brands to exhibit in this place. It is hoped that by November the MSME actors will be more lively in order to welcome the G20. "We are trying to make the G20 a success," said the President Director of SMESCO, Leonard Theosabrata. Various creative and innovative products from MSMEs were displayed, including the one that stole the attention of the wellness product which is now also being intensively pushed by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs to penetrate the global market and the domestic wellness industry is also continuously being pushed to become stronger.
The Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhur Binsar Panjaitan was also present at the Nusa Dua Market event location. Luhut said that this event was an embryo to reactivate the Balinese economy through the G20 momentum. Meanwhile, the Governor of Bali, Koster said that the products exhibited at the G20 Summit will be in accordance with President Joko Widodo's direction, namely, quality products. "The products that will be exhibited at the G20 later, have been curated by the Dekranasda Bali which are quality products and can be accounted for. Including the typical Balinese Arak drink, it will be exhibited in the culinary arts as a wellness product," he said.
