The production house, which is located in Malawei Village, Sorong City, was inaugurated by Bank Indonesia, West Papua Provincial Government, and Sorong City Government, Wednesday, in order to continue production with reasonable standards for improving the quality of the Mama Papua Miareto MSME group. Head of Bank Indonesia West Papua Representative, Rut W. Eka Trisilowati said that Mama Papua Miareto Sorong's MSMEs were MSMEs assisted by Bank Indonesia since 2019. She said that the construction of a shredded fish production house for the Miareto MSMEs group aims to make it easier to carry out production activities. , packaging and product exhibitions by fulfilling hygiene and sterilization aspects because there is a barrier between the processing production area and other areas. According to him, the existence of a product exhibition room is an advantage of the Miareto shredded production house building. Currently, consumers can make abon purchase transactions comfortably and can see directly the shredded production process.
In addition, business strengthening in the form of BPOM certification becomes more accommodating, so that it will make it easier for MSMEs in the process of market expansion in the future. It is said that the Mama Papua Miareto MSME business group produces products in the form of shredded tuna, mackerel, and skipjack in various packages, namely 100 grams and 200 grams. Since the assistance was carried out, the volume of production has increased and the market has increased. Efforts to assist these groups are carried out by Bank Indonesia guided by three pillars, namely corporatization, capacity building, and financing. Along the way, he continued, Bank Indonesia provided support for group development in obtaining home industry product certification and halal certification. "In terms of marketing, the group's products have also been marketed to local and modern markets in Sorong City such as Alfamart, Saga Supermarket, Mega Supermarket and Papua Supermarket. In addition, Miareto shredded fish products are also in demand by government offices, stakeholders and the community as souvenirs typical of Sorong City," he said.
