Inaugurated Creative Hub Samosir, Sandiaga: New Economic Order

The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno inaugurated the Samosir Creative Hub, at Pantai Indah Situngkir, Samosir Regency, North Sumatra. This inauguration is a manifestation of the government's commitment and consistency in generating the pace of the creative economy after the pandemic. Creative Hub is a place for creativity for creative economy actors in the form of physical infrastructure to support them in developing ideas, businesses, building networks, organizing, and strengthening both inter and inter-community ties of the creative economy sub-sector. "This Creative Hub is a breakthrough for our national awakening, opening up business opportunities and employment opportunities. And ensuring the presence of government programs that are right on target, right to benefit, and on time. Together with Mr. President Jokowi, we are setting up a new economic order after the pandemic and we must immediately rise," said Sandiaga in a written statement, Wednesday (23/3/2022). Creative Hub Samosir, whose work began in June 2021 and completed in January 2022, was built on the land of the Regional Government of Samosir Regency with a total area of 1,000 m2. Meanwhile, the Creative Hub building area itself is 460 m2 which is divided into two floors of the building.


The first floor will be used for coffee processing activities, starting from the processing room, taste test laboratory, packaging room, to the display room and cafe to sell community products. While on the second floor there are multifunctional classrooms, co-working spaces, and meeting rooms that can be used for training, workshops, discussions, or other activities that can increase creativity and skills. Sandiaga explained that the construction of the Creative Hub building and the provision of facilities were provided through the Government Assistance (Banper) mechanism provided by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy through the Deputy for Destination and Infrastructure Development to the Regional Government and local Communities, including coffee processing equipment facilities, technology facilities, and audio. visual system. "This Creative Hub should not be deserted, because it belongs to the people and funds from the government, so it must be used as well as possible," he said. He said that the inauguration of the Samosir Creative Hub was collaborated with the launching of the Horas Samosir Fiesta. This collaboration is a form of synergy between institutions/stakeholders to advance the Samosir area as one of the super priority tourism destinations. "The launch of the Horas Samosir Fiesta is expected to raise the spirits of creative economy players in Samosir. By initiating events, I am sure it will stimulate the economy," said Sandiaga. He hopes that Lake Toba will be able to hold international events like Mandalika did. "We will present international events such as Formula One on water. If Mandalika has MotoGP, hopefully next year we can present Formula One on water at Lake Toba," he added.
