Economy Ministry Undersecretary Maria Cecilia Guerra told Radio 24 on Tuesday that Italy's GDP is likely to rise by "about 3%" this year. That is down from the forecast of growth of 4.7% given in the government's NADEF economic blueprint, before the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Guerra stressed, however, that the outlook was uncertain and the forecasts were still being formulated. "The country will continue to grow. I don't believe in this scenario," she said when asked about the possibility of Italy going into recession.
