The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy/Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno, encourages the digitization of transactions in the tourism sector, including the tourism accommodation ticket payment system, parking management, and the trade market. This effort is expected to be able to form a new economic order ecosystem for the tourism sector that is fair and sustainable, thereby accelerating economic revival. Witnessing the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf and PT Mitra Kasih Perkasa (MKP) at Novotel Lombok Resort and Villas, Saturday (19/3/2022), Sandiaga said that with this digitalization it was hoped that it would open up business opportunities and expand employment opportunities. , and revive the economy.
"I am sure that with this digitalization, opportunities are open. So the sales data is getting better managed, which will eventually open up job opportunities," said Sandiaga. In addition, with this digitalization, it can facilitate training targets which can later improve the quality of the tourism sector and the creative economy in Indonesia. According to him, the exchange of data and information is a support for developing the tourism sector and the creative economy.
This digitization, continued Sandiaga, is expected to be implemented not only in ticket purchases, but also in buying and selling creative economy products. "In addition to training, mentoring, and marketing will also be helped so that it can provide ease of licensing and of course financial reporting and financing. So in my opinion digitalization is a game changer from the pattern of developing UMKM in the future," he said.
