Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto conveyed that the government had issued various policy mixes to support sharia economic growth in 2022. The Islamic economy and the halal industry are of concern to the government because these two sectors have attractive growth opportunities globally. As a form of support for sharia economic growth, the government has provided a stimulus for sharia economic development through strengthening the halal value chain ecosystem, especially the integrated agricultural sector, halal culinary and Muslim fashion. "In addition, there will be an acceleration of the expansion of the implementation of the halal assurance system as an acceleration of halal certification for MSE players, expansion of the distribution of Cash-Waqf Linked Sukuk (CWLS), the application of sharia creative financing, and the implementation of BP Jamsostek sharia services," Airlangga said in a press release, quoted by Antara Sunday (20/3/2022).
Not only support for sharia economic growth, Airlangga said the government also continues to support the development of the digital economy ecosystem to encourage community productivity. Strategies that have been implemented include the National Digital Literacy Movement, Digital Talent Scholarship, Pre-Employment Card and Digital Leadership Academy. These strategies are expected to be able to support the development of digital talent and the digitization of UMKM, including UMKM engaged in the halal sector. However, the preparation of digital talent also requires support from the education sector. Therefore, in 2022 the government has allocated a budget of IDR 541.7 trillion and reformed education with a policy direction that focuses on improving the quality of human resources. "The Indonesian government invites each other to work hand in hand in terms of improving education and culture. This invitation is formulated in the form of four priority agendas at the G20 Education Working Group, including Quality Education for All, Digital Technology in Education, Solidarity and Partnership, and the Future of the World of Work After Covid-19," he said.
