The National Single Window Institution (LNSW) continues to focus on the role of improving the quality of national and international trade in an integrated and collaborative manner. LNSW Secretary Muhammad Lukman in a press statement received in Makassar, Wednesday, said that in the era of economic globalization and trade liberalization as well as technological developments with the rise of Industry 4.0, each country's dependence on international trade activities and the traffic of export-import goods is getting higher. "In supporting national development, LNSW has several strategic roles including in terms of state revenues, integration of international probes, providing facilities for business actors to share information, to providing management support for companies," he said.
LNSW is an organizational unit of the Ministry of Finance which was formed through Presidential Regulation Number 44 of 2018 concerning the Indonesia National Single Window (INSW), which is a form of the government's commitment to improving the quality of public services in the fields of exports, imports, and logistics. LNSW has the task of implementing INSW Management and the Implementation of the Indonesia National Single Window (SINSW) system in handling customs documents, quarantine documents, licensing documents, port/airport documents, and other documents related to exports and/or imports, and national logistics documents electronically. , as stated in the Regulation of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia Number 199/PMK.01 2/2020 concerning INSW Management and SINSW Implementation. This improvement in public services is also at national and international standards and is supported by reliable information and communication technology, as well as service and supervision oriented which is manifested by the availability of a Service Level Agreement tailored to the needs of all stakeholders. He explained that LNSW is currently collaborating with 15 government agencies related to export and import activities that are integrated into SINSW.
Since the operation of LNSW, there have been many achievements, especially in handling export and import licensing. "The scope of integration which was originally only related to licensing has also been expanded to include support for increasing trade facilitation, monitoring the traffic of goods, and optimizing state revenues," said Lukman at a public lecture at Unhas. FEB Unhas lecturer Muhammad Sabranjamil BSc (Hons), provided an overview of export growth, main export commodities, opportunities and challenges for export development, and local government programs to support South Sulawesi's export growth. Sabranjamil said that basically, Indonesia had entered the stage of national economic recovery. This is marked by a trade balance surplus in 2021 and also followed by South Sulawesi which experienced a nearly 20 percent increase in exports, mainly mining and agriculture. There are at least 161 main export commodities of South Sulawesi for destination countries including Japan, Australia, China, and so on. "Although South Sulawesi's contribution to Indonesia's export activities nationally is relatively small, South Sulawesi is believed to be one of the export hubs in eastern Indonesia," said Sabranjamil.
