Head of the Department of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (Kadislutkan) Prov. Central Kalimantan H. Darliansjah conducted direct coaching to one of the SMEs exporting Central Kalimantan fishery products. This visit was carried out to the location of Ali Giono Bakut UKM which is engaged in the export of betutu or bakut fish on Jalan Lele Palangka Raya, Tuesday (8/3/2022). This activity is a follow-up to the direction of the Governor of Central Kalimantan H. Sugianto Sabran at the Launching of the Export of Marine and Fishery Products of Central Kalimantan in the courtyard of the Central Kalimantan Governor's office, last 18 February. In his direction, the Governor said that this activity was aimed at encouraging the acceleration of regional economic recovery and the welfare of the people of Central Kalimantan, as well as a momentum for a sustainable revival of Central Kalimantan's exports.
The arrival of Kadislutkan Prov. Central Kalimantan, Darliansjah was warmly welcomed by Ali Giono Bakut. Ali Giono expressed his gratitude for the visit and the support that had been given to him. “I am very proud and grateful for the arrival of Mr. Kadislutkan Prov. Central Kalimantan to our place, this is a form of appreciation for us to be more enthusiastic and move forward in increasing the export volume of Central Kalimantan fishery products, "said Ali Giono. Ali Giono also conveyed some of the obstacles faced in the export of this betutu fish. Among them in terms of delivery, which is expected to make airlines more connected between planes to expedite the delivery process to export destinations. Ali Giono also hopes that this activity can continue to be supported, both in terms of adding facilities and infrastructure, so that export SMEs have competitiveness and added value.
The plan is that in the near future Ali Giono will also start exporting tapah fish. Besides seluang fish, betutu and botia, this tapah fish commodity is also in great demand by Malaysia. Given the abundance of tapah fish in the Central Kalimantan river, it is hoped that fishermen will be able to capture the business opportunity of exporting these local fish. On this occasion Darliansjah said, “We are the provincial government. Central Kalimantan has committed to airlines, both Garuda Indonesia and Citilink, the Palangka Raya Fish Quarantine and Quality Control Station, as well as Customs and Excise in Central Kalimantan, to support the export of marine and fisheries commodities in Central Kalimantan." To advance the export of marine and fishery products in Central Kalimantan, Darliansjah said that his party is ready to synergize all stakeholders to make breakthroughs to accelerate the increase in exports of marine and fishery products, including facilitation, guidance and assistance, especially from the aspect of conducive regional regulations, licensing, facilitation of capital/financing, facilitation of marketing, support for technical infrastructure including providing guidance, and technical assistance.
