He said that the information that his group received facilities from the government to participate in the Dubai Expo was received in mid-February, after which the two of them prepared various requirements in order to go to Dubai. "We were told to do a batik demonstration there, to copy (make batik using a canting tool) nitik batik, it is not allowed to sell, yesterday we got the information from the Ministry of Law and Human Rights (Ministry of Law and Human Rights) a few days ago, so suddenly," he said.
He said that he would get facilities in the form of lodging, transportation costs, guaranteed meals during the activity. The batik demonstration activity abroad will be the first experience, after the Bantul batik nitik was set by the Governor of DIY as a Geographical Indication in 2021. "Incidentally, I was appointed to represent the nitik batik group with Mrs. Amin who won the nitik batik design at Gebyar Batik Nitik 2021, but because it happened that there was no vaccine, Mrs. Siti represented it. This is the first one, as far as I know, only two people from DIY, "he said. He hopes that by being included in the international exhibition that presents the achievements of the world's countries, he will be able to further introduce Indonesian handicraft products, especially batik with the dotted pattern which is the hallmark of Yogyakarta to the world community. "Hopefully, batik nitik can boom and be known to the public abroad and at home, if batik nitik is a unique ancestral cultural heritage batik that is special, unlike other written batik," he said.
