State Budget Surplus of IDR 28.9 Trillion, Sri Mulyani: Excellent Reversal Situation

Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget or APBN in January 2022 recorded a surplus of IDR 28.9 trillion. That value jumped 163.5 % compared to January last year with a deficit of IDR 45.5 trillion. "This is a situation where APBN is reversing or experiencing a very good reversal situation," Sri Mulyani said in a virtual press conference Tuesday, February 22, 2022. "So this is an extraordinary reversal, experiencing a surplus so that there is an improvement of up to 337.8 %," he said. As of January 31, 2022, state revenues have reached IDR 156 trillion. This value is equivalent to 8.5 % of this year's target of IDR 1,846.1 trillion. This income, grew 54.9 %. Non-tax state revenues or PNBP January 2022 amounted to IDR 22 trillion. That value grew 11.4 % compared to January last year. Meanwhile, state spending in January 2022 was IDR 127.2 trillion or grew by 13 percent compared to January last year. State spending is equivalent to 4.7 % of this year's target of state spending of IDR 2,714 trillion. Sri Mulyani also said that budget financing actually contracted or decreased by 101.8 %. And in a situation where securities have not been issued, he said, there is still a Silpa of IDR 25.9 trillion. Furthermore, Sri Mulyani stated, the APBN at the beginning of the year began with a very positive story from the economic recovery and from the APBN support for the community.
