In 2020, the realization of investment in West Aceh was only Rp. 667 million due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. "The local government is very grateful for this increase in investment figures," said Head of West Aceh District DPMPTSP Edy Juanda, Sunday in Meulaboh. There was also the business sector which was the biggest contributor to the realization of investment realization in 2021 in West Aceh, he said, namely in the mining sector of IDR 43.1 billion or 45.9 percent. Then the plantation sector amounted to 24.1 billion or equivalent to 25 percent of the total realization, and the trade sector contributed an investment figure of IDR 11.56 billion or 12.2 percent. Meanwhile, the tourism, telecommunications and transportation sectors contributed an investment figure of IDR 7.6 billion or 8.1 percent, and the construction sector of IDR 5.05 billion or 5.3 percent. "The energy sector contributed to the realization of investment realization of Rp. 2.4 billion or 2.5 percent of the total investment realization in 2021," said Edy Juanda. He explained, based on the data obtained, it can be seen that the investment trend in 2021 is still dominated by the mining sector. Furthermore, the calculation of this investment realization achievement is based on the investment realization figure of each company which is reported periodically every quarter through the online investment activity report (LKPM) website. So that the data presented truly represents the development or realization of investments made by business actors. "The number of LKPM documents collected during 2021 is 151 reports, according to Edy Juanda.
