Export demand for animal feed supplements to Europe and the Middle East has experienced a sharp increase. This follows after the Ministry of Agriculture held One Day with Indonesian Coffee, Fruits, and Floriculture which was held in 10 European countries in 2021. Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo (Mentan SYL) said that Odicoff was one of the Ministry's efforts to increase exports of agricultural commodities through promotional activities and exhibitions. According to him, the activity was attended directly by the world community who looked at Indonesian products. "Therefore, we congratulate the realization of exports today, which means that all that we have worked together has yielded good results. With these various efforts, including the Triple Exports Movement (GRATIEKS) program, the growth in the value of livestock exports in 2024 can increase by 300% to US$ 1.9 billion or equivalent to IDR 27 trillion to 100 destination countries," said SYL when releasing the export of animal feed produced by a private company in the South Tangerang area, Tuesday (15/2). In the future, said SYL, Indonesia must be able to become a reference for world export products because they have high quality. Moreover, currently, the Ministry of Agriculture has implemented various technological sophistication and mechanization in every cultivation and production. "Indonesia must be able to appear in the world by relying on the capabilities of many agricultural commodities that are needed by the world, I think that's the step we have achieved today," he said.
Meanwhile, one of the CEOs of a private company, Suaedi Sunanto, expressed his gratitude for the direction and assistance of the Ministry of Agriculture on the export of livestock in early 2022. According to him, the success of this export is a breakthrough for the Ministry of Agriculture in providing facilities to industry players to expand the export market. Including the Ministry of Agriculture's efforts on Odicoff activities. "We thank the Minister (SYL) because we are always entrepreneurs who have been included in the mission of promoting medicinal products and animal nutrition to Denmark (Europe) and the United Arab Emirates (Middle East)," he said. For information, the export of animal feed reached 13 metric tons with the aim of Denmark from a total contract value of £1 million or IDR 16.3 billion. Director-General of Livestock and Animal Health at the Ministry of Agriculture, Nasrullah said that Indonesia had successfully recorded cooperation and trade contracts in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Letter of Intent (LoI) to market Indonesian agricultural commodities in 2022 worth IDR 94.4 billion. "Thank you to other ODICOFF participant business actors who have participated in the ODICOFF event and have helped encourage the achievement of the GRATIEKS," he concluded.
