Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan said he would continue to focus on investment. Various facilities have also been prepared to attract investors to enter Indonesia. He also asked investors not to hesitate to contact him if they experience difficulties when investing in Indonesia. "These rules are to facilitate investment that drives Indonesia's economic transformation," said Luhut in a webinar held by the Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI), Monday (25/1/2022). To recover the economy due to the pandemic, he continued, in terms of regulations, the government has prepared various reforms to support investment that can encourage Indonesia's economic transformation. The government also issued the Job Creation Law and its derivatives regulations. The implementation of the Job Creation Law will facilitate investment with a risk-based breakdown.
On the other hand, the government also ensures that it prepares attractive incentive schemes to encourage investment, both for domestic investment and foreign investment. Luhut said the incentives offered include tax holidays. "Then facilitate the licensing of Industrial Estates and prioritize TKDN for government procurement," he said. He emphasized that Indonesia cannot escape the global challenges that are becoming more complex and dynamic every day. So, it is necessary to continue to adapt and recognize the opportunities of each challenge. "I hope that the momentum of economic recovery that is happening today can be used well," said Luhut. This momentum, he continued, could be a place to improve the nation.
