The Provincial Government through the South Sulawesi Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service (DKP) is ready to present an arsenic (earth's crust) testing tool to expedite and accelerate the export process of various commodities related to the maritime sector. Acting Head of South Sulawesi DKP Sulkaf S Latief in Makassar, Tuesday, admitted that South Sulawesi exporters really hope that arsenic testing on fisherman products can be carried out in Makassar to speed up the export process. "During the launching of E-Sejutaikan, there were requests from fellow exporters to prepare arsenic testing athletes. God willing, according to the instructions of the Acting Governor of South Sulawesi Andi Sudirman Sulaiman, we will try to prepare them," he said.He explained that so far, exporters have had to test for arsenic in Bogor, West Java and need at least 10 days to get the test results. According to him, if the testing equipment can be prepared, including the testing team, then the time can be reduced to only three days only. "God willing, it is planned that the budget for the procurement of arsenic testing equipment can be included in the discussion of the Revised APBD," he said.
Previously, the UPT Center for Fisheries Product Quality Implementation, South Sulawesi Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service presented an innovative application of a million fish (e-Sejutaikan) which was launched by Acting Governor Andi Sudirman Sulaiman.Andi Sudirman Sulaiman said that the presence of this innovation service was very useful, especially for exporters who wanted to test samples of fishery products. "It can be done online, you can call samples to ask to be picked up. And (specifically for the Makassar area) there is no charge for pickup. And the test result certificate can be printed yourself," he explained.
