The realization of incoming investment in Madiun City in 2021 was recorded at Rp. 202 billion, exceeding the target set at Rp. 191 billion. Rully Dwi Ratnawati at the Madiun City Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service said that the majority of investment was contributed by the trade sector. "The rest were contributed from the hotel, restaurant, and other service businesses. Thank God the surplus investment will be realized in 2022," said Rully Dwi Ratnawati in Madiun, Monday. According to her, this realization proves that the investment climate in Madiun City is quite good even though the COVID-19 pandemic has not ended. However, compared to the previous year, the realization is still less encouraging. In 2020, there was a surplus of 75 percent, which was realized Rp. 327 billion from the target of Rp. 183 billion. "We can't predict because it's still a pandemic. It should have been realized in 2021 if it wasn't a pandemic," she said.
On the other hand, Rully is optimistic that the investment climate will grow again in 2022. Moreover, the investment target was increased to Rp193 billion in 2022. One of the considerations is the transmission of COVID-19 cases which continues to slant. In addition, it is also supported by the massive vaccination in Madiun City which is new hope as well as an incentive for investors to invest their capital. "Plus the development that has been intensified by the Madiun City Government, so that it can attract investors," she said. Rully explained that the development in Madiun City had a tremendous effect. Starting from the changes on Jalan Pahlawan to the Pahlawan Street Center (PSC) area, Sumber Wangi Park, to Sumber Umis Park. Including steps to stimulate the people's economy through SME stalls in each village. Her party has also prepared several steps to boost the realization of the investment value in 2022 so that it again exceeds the target. One of them is the city government's efforts to make it easier for investors who want to enter, from location, strategy, workforce, to easy licensing. "With these efforts, it is hoped that it will encourage investors to invest in Madiun City," she said.
