The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Bengkulu Province noted that in November 2021 the total exports of Bengkulu Province reached 26.74 million US dollars or Rp. 382 billion. That value increased by about 111.85 percent when compared to November 2020. The head of the Bengkulu Province BPS, Win Rizal, said that in November 2020, Bengkulu's export value was recorded at only US$12.62 million or Rp. 180 million. "Meanwhile, the export value of Bengkulu in November this year through the Port of Pulau Baai Bengkulu reached 21.29 million US dollars or Rp. 304 billion," said Rizal in Bengkulu, Sunday (9/1/2022). Then through the Musi River or Boom Baru, South Sumatra Province, about 3.86 million US dollars or Rp. 55.2 billion, through the Tanjung Priok port it reached 1.38 million US dollars or 19.4 billion. Through the Tanjung Beringin port, it reached 0.22 million US dollars or Rp. 3.1 billion, the Tanjung Emas port reached 2.94 thousand US dollars or 42 million rupiahs. Furthermore, through Soekarno Hatta, it reached US$331 or Rp. 4.7 million and through Denpasar/Ngurah Rai around US$280 or Rp. 4 million.
From September to November 2021 there were no imports of goods to Bengkulu Province. This made the value of imports decrease by 100 percent compared to imports in November 2020 of 0.46 million US dollars or Rp. 6.5 billion. The export value through Pulau Baai port from January to November 2021 reached US$162.84 million or Rp. 2.3 trillion and an increase of about 99.69 percent compared to 2020 which was only US$81.55 million or Rp. 1.1 trillion. For export commodities from Bengkulu Province through the port of Pulau Baai for coal, around US$157.30 million or Rp. 2.2 trillion and palm shells at US$5.54 million or Rp. 79 billion. Bengkulu's export destinations in November 2021 are to China amounting to 12.85 million US dollars or Rp 183 billion, Cambodia 3.97 million US dollars or 56 billion US dollars, the United States 2.96 million US dollars or 42 billion rupiahs, and other countries 7 .14 million US dollars or Rp. 102 billion.
