Number 2 in Indonesia, East Kalimantan Non-Oil and Gas Exports from January to October 2021 Reaches IDR 256 Trillion

Head of the East Kalimantan Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises Trade Industry Office (Disperindagkop and East Kalimantan SMEs) HM Yadi Robyan Noor said the value of Bumi Mulawarman's non-oil and gas exports for the January-October 2021 period reached USD 17.9 billion or around IDR 256 trillion. "Based on data from the Indonesian Ministry of Trade (Kemendagri) for the January–October 2021 period, East Kalimantan is the second highest non-oil and gas export in Indonesia," he said, as reported by ANTARA, Monday (10/1/2022). He hopes that the good news can increase the enthusiasm of business actors to be more active in increasing exports of their products, by adding a wider network to overseas. He continued, this success is an achievement for the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of East Kalimantan. In particular, during the leadership of East Kalimantan Governor Isran Noor and Deputy Governor Hadi Mulyadi. Because last year's export area with an area of 127,347 km² was still in the range of USD 9.48 billion. "In 2021 yesterday there was an increase in East Kalimantan's exports reaching 89.14 percent or the highest nationally, Riau rising 43.31 percent, West Java 28.44 percent and East Java only 2.85 percent," he explained.


He explained that East Kalimantan's contribution to total exports nationally was 10.2 percent. Still below West Java (Jabar), with export contribution reaching USD 27.4 billion, or 15.6 percent, of the contribution of Indonesia's non-oil and gas exports. Then, in the third position, East Java (Jatim) with USD 17.4 billion or 9.9 percent. In fourth place, Riau, with the contribution of non-oil and gas exports worth USD 14.9 billion, or 8.5 percent, of national non-oil and gas exports. Meanwhile, in December 2021, East Kalimantan's exports were the second highest nationally, with the release of exports led directly by the Minister of Trade (Mendag) Muhammad Lutfi. Furthermore, the total exports carried out virtually from the area of PT Sumalindo Lestari Jaya (SLJ) amounted to Rp 13.5 trillion. Overall in 2021, East Kalimantan's non-oil and gas exports will reach Rp 270 trillion.
